[TowerTalk] "Magic" length from tower to first insulator

My commercial LPDA uses guy lengths of 8', 10', 10', 10', then 70' or so of
remaining guy to the guy anchors measuring from the tower top. I think the
first 8' was determined by the Big Grips' length, whose tails meet with just
a couple inches to spare. Incidentally, I have hundreds of guy insulators
I'll never use if anyone is interested...

A friend of mine told me that someone, somewhere had calculated a "magic"
length for guy cable.  If you went down 10 or 11 or 13 feet (or whatever it
is) off of your tower and installed your first insulator there, your guys
would be sufficiently 'non-resonant' so that they wouldn't interfere with
the pattern of the antenna(s) above.

What is this magic length and where is it documented?
