That’s the theory. Not so in practice depending on your location. The wildfire that took out my location had flames well over 100 feet high, so the Philly didn’t stand a chance.  Second installation I didn’t bother.

Just planning installation of my first ever towers so not much experience here. What is the reason for the "last ten feet" utilizing EHS instead of Phillystran?

If it was me the magic length would be how many steps to the telephone or
computer it takes to order some Phillystran and associated stuff and
forget about 1/4" EHS, except for the last 10 feet.
