Automotive hose clamp is not an answer a real answer.

There are at least 3 common automotive hose clamps. There is the
often thought of SS hose clamps that are often installed incorrectly, or
the wrong size (My last resort if nothing else is available and I much
prefer rivets to these). There is a "banding" type of strap that is
probably the best, single use (my preference if I can find the right
size. All of these are used on tubing with slotted ends., ans there is
a two turn, relatively heavy spring clamp. I think the heavier versions
of these springs "might" work well on a double slotted tube.

I believe the use of the screw type SS hose clamp has pretty much been
replaced on newer cars and trucks with either the single use banding, or
the spring type. There are no SS screw type on mine. I'd have to look
at my wife's hybrid to see what's on it.
