I do not recall seeing any negative posts on the Yaesu G-2800. They are
not in the same league as a prop pitch, but they are very good. I had two
of them at my P40A station. The wind never stops in Aruba and I never had
an issue turning my antennas.

No one seems to like the Yaesu 2800. I have 2. One is turning a stack of
big yagis (6el 15M on 45 ft boom and 4 el 20M on 34 ft boom). Its loafing
with that load from what I can see. 8 years on the job and never a whimper.
-25F turn, wind, minor icing so far. No issue.
I hate the controllers. But the new Hygain controller for Yaesu is just the
ticket and reasonably priced.
