[TowerTalk] reversible Beverage

Bill,

ON4UN's book shows a transmission line of 2x#14 wires spaced 12" to be
710 ohms. The same two wires at 3M height are 357 ohms when looked at as
a beverage. This is what I use with a DXE reversible system and it works
just fine. Changing the height will change the impedance +/- 25-30 ohms
per meter going higher or lower.

Cost of the ladder line and the cost of shipping 1500 feet to KH6 is quite high. The system is designed to operate in a range of 300-600 ohms and of course the 450 ohms is right in the middle of that range.

I asked the guy from DX-Engineering if this would work and he wasn't sure since he didn't know what the impedance would be for the two wires. So, here I am.
