I couldn't even find the cable you had specified.

If indeed you can get 7/8" brand new for under $2 ... that is one heck of a 
buy.

Do you have any sort of a discount with Tessco?  Without an account they 
will
soak you.  I'm seeing $1.90/ft now when I log in.   Contact your rep and see
what they can do.
