You will need to connect to it in some way. Best is to put a connector 
on one end (you will need one anyway), with a cable and/or adapter that 
can mate with your analyzer. Alligator clips on short cable will work, 
but will add a small error to the measurement.

Study the manual for your AIM unit for instructions for TDR. If it 
doesn't do TDR, use the stub method posted in my earlier email.
