You must wear skin protection because the paint one on need to where off..... As my wife when I painted a 64 ft tower Sat AM for a guy and went to

the 4:00 Pm wedding and reception looking like the Tin Man from the Wizard of OZ ( hard learned lesion )

Thanks to all for the suggestions on this. Seems like the consensus is to
just paint over the red/white with a good quality latex paint or cold
galvanize paint. Seems like a good plan. As a follow up, what is the
thoughts from the reflector on a good quality paint brand for the sections
that will not flake off and show red/white underneath in a few years. I am
strongly looking at a battleship gray color.

Thanks for all the replies and advice so far. Good stuff!!

## Use cold galvanize paint. It IS battleship gray in color.
Non reflective in the sunlight. The zinc in it will provide for
extra protection. The tower is already galvanized. Then the
red or white paint on top of that....then the coat of cold
galvanize paint.

## Like others have said, sand off ..gently, any surface rust,
esp any loose, flaky stuff.
