[TowerTalk] Wire antenna in trees? (Patrick Greenlee) (Kelly Taylor) (Jim Brown)

Similar to Clay's rig, but I use $8.95 Home Depot clear plastic-clad bicycle cable locks over the branches, with stainless links through with the antenna rope runs. Easy to raise and lower halyard if required, as well as antenna line. Tree likes the plastic coating, XYL likes the fact tree limb won't be abraded, and I like the idea tree limb will not grow around the plastic, so in five years I'll still be able to haul it down.

I usually use a small ty-wrap around the S crimp... I have used a larger ty-wrap and some tape in lieu of the S crimp. I haven't had a failure since a named storm event.
