[TowerTalk] Antenna Hardware

The V-Bolt was wanted mainly for appearance sake and possible resale value. The real trick is finding something with the same metric dimensions although a little modification is sure to allow for a standard solution. I suspect my answer is to call Diamond which I will try to do this week. They haven't answered the email I sent them a week ago.

Stainless U-bolts are easy to find, I purchased many at McMaster Carr. KK0SD
is looking for a V-Bolt which are more difficult to find and I really do not
understand the purpose of these. If that is what he really needs Diamond
should sell the replacement. He is not the first one to ruin a stainless
steel bolt by putting it together dry.

I just received an order from "BoltDepot.com" for some SS u-bolts for my
Gap Titan. They looked good and worked good, there shipping seems reasonable
and prompt.

I was able to gall a 6 mm stainless steel "U-Bolt" (without really trying)
that holds my small Diamond Antenna to a mast.
I put "U-Bolt" in quotes as the bottom of the "U" is more triangular the
round. Looking for a replacement
on the internet I do not see much of anything that looks like it. Is it
called a "U-Bolt"? or something else?
I have a call in to Diamond to see if they sell them, and expect to hear
back
Monday.
