?Most zoning ordinances stipulate a setback requirement for a tower.  Around here, the setback from the nearest property line must be equal to or greater than 75% of the total height of the tower.?

And what?s the sense of that?  Why isn?t the top 25% dangerous?  Actually, it?s likely the most dangerous.  It?s moving fastest and has that big ol? antenna antenna on it."

Consider yourself lucky, around here, Central Illinois, the setback for my semi-rural tower was 110% of the height.
