Unless you expect the ground temperature at that depth to be subject to large changes, it is unlikely that expansion/contraction will be an issue. For example (from NFPA-70, Table 352-44) the length change for rigid PVC conduit for a 5 degree F temperature swing will be 0.20 inches per 100 ft....when NOT buried. For long runs it is advisable to not run it perfectly straight, to allow for any small amount of movement.
