Terry,
I installed a 25G, 4 sections on the concrete base using both a house
bracket and guys back in 1988 and took it down 2008. A house bracket
was bolted through the eve wood siding at 15ft to a new inside attic 2x6
spanning several 2x4. the 2x6 was anchored to the 2x4 and via several
wire ropes to the main house trust in the attic. I also guyed the top
section for stability. On top was a TA33 plus a Ham-IV rotor. The
combination went through 6 hurricanes, 3 in one month, while living in
Central FL, a hurricane on one occasion turned the antenna on the mast
and made more noise than the wind, XYL was scared the tower would fall
on the house. I wouldn't rely on just the bracket but add some guys.
When I left Fl back in 2008 I gave the tower, antenna and rotor to the
local club who supplied a climber who took down the guys and up he went
much to my stated concern plus a signed waiver. All came down as expect
without a hitch.
Best advice is: Don't exceed the tower design spec's, use brackets
along with guys, don't cheat on the size of the cement hole and add
lighting ground connects at the base.
I now have a *Heavy duty* Aluma 50' crank up tilt over un-guyed which
has worked great for 8 years with a Tail twister and 3 el SteppIR w/ the
30/40 meter add on, more costly but you may want to look at the tower.
