[TowerTalk] Rain drops noise on Yagi (dipole)

Many thanks to everybody for all the suggestions.
Unfortunately, most of them are what I already known (low antenna on stack,
quads and beverages) and I was hoping for a miracolous idea! ;-)
We used our 90m long short 80/160m Beverage to USA, that we can install
only the two contest days, but signals were too low on forty, because it is
fed with 360m of RG58, which has a 14dB loss on 40m.
No way to have two stacked Yagis or a Quad on 40m and no way to use a
bigger cable, so, last chance will be to add a preamplifier before the 360m
lenght of cable.
Thanks again and 73
Guido, IK2BCP (IR2L on the last two rainy CQWW...)
