Erick,
I have a Rotor-EZ in a CDE control box for my Prop Pitch rotor. The
basic CDE controller is a very simple unit. 
Do you have the CDE manual?
If the original components were retained, all you need to do is
remove the Rotor -EZ module and re-wire the meter  circuit.
