Subject: Re: [TowerTalk] RG213 coax source?

The man asked about RG213. He didn't ask about foam coax, heliax etc.

When sourcing genuine RG213 you should pay attention to the specifications regarding the center, shield, dielectric and jacket.
The dielectric is important to get the RG213 breakdown voltage and bending radius. RG213 is also great for soldering--other unbalanced lines such as the foam with a foil shield are much harder to work with when installing connectors.

The jacket is important because true RG213 will have a jacket that will hold up. Belden is a good brand. You get what you pay for.
You can get any kind of electrical tape or you can get 3M type 33.
Same wisdom applies with coax.
