This isn't a question of "good enough," but rather does it do what is 
intended to do (other than the previously cited transfer of funds from 
buyer to seller).

Does "making the buyer feel better" count as "good enough?" If so, I can 
think of many alternatives, like a pint of a rich Belgian ale, a German 
dark beer, or a meal in a nice restaurant.
