Just to make it clear, I have no affiliation with this 'YW' software. Happy it works, but just want to avoid any possible confusion on that.
I have had the W1YW call now since 2006. FYI.

YW results for modifying Hy-Gain monobanders have been spot on in my experience. Beware of a few things... (1) adjust your build dimensions for your boom tubing radius - or - add a dummy segment to your model to account for the boom radius. (2) beware that some of the available "optimized" YW models don't account for limitations in element spacing along the boom caused by the width of the boom splice plate. (3) YW does not weight balance your antenna - have to do that by separate calculation or manually after the build.
73 & good luck.

Good Day,
I would like to hear from anyone who as built a Yagi using the software "YW" supplied with recent editions of the ARRL Antenna Book. I would appreciate hearing your thoughts on how the antenna has worked out compared to any other antenna dimensions or programs you may have used. Thanks and 73,Garry - K4OR _______________________________________________
