[TowerTalk] Hornet Nest on the End of the Boom - How do you safely get rid of this?

Recently I had to get rid of a yellow jacket nest. I waited till about 2AM and sprayed it thoroughly with Raid. Bought a double can pack from Bi-Mart for a good price. Comes out like spray foam and can shoot quite a distance. Actually dissolved the nest while spraying it. Never saw one yellow jacket flying around me but I was a good 10-15 feet away. The following day they were all gone (or dead). Figure it would do the same for hornets although I would not want to try up on a tower to find out.

Those things are more annoying than wasps in your boom and wasps decimate them efficiently. They feed themselves on nectar. If you really wanna be a nice guy with them, place a small tray with sugar water far away your porch or terrace and they will never come to fight your evening beer.
