 IMO  if I had to lower the antenna   I would replace all the .049 wall with .058  and dampining rope .

Yes, DXE have it for $5, so will be the solution

Worst part, and expensive, will be to move the antenna to repair :-(

   Not failure rate of the M2 antennas have installed two and assume there still in the air !



   HY-Gain antennas  especially there 15 meter antenna would RAIN the 7/16  element tips if you did not install the recommended dampaning rope

   3/16 “ pollyurathane  strand



    ½  .058 wall tubing is common and available at a number of sources

hello

third time I have my M2inc 15 mts yagi tips broken, now on driven element

2 years ago, M2inc asked me $28 for a 1/2´´ x .049 x 31´´ long tube, very
expensive, but since i also needed the 3/4 x 60´´ SOE section, i needed to
but at M2inc

Just for the tip, I think I can buy any 1/2´´ aluminium tube, right?  Since
i am not good at US dimensions, just need to be sure that this will work
