[TowerTalk] Climbing Harness Recommendations needed

Without the proper training - purchasing the correct harness and fall arrest does not make you a qualified and trained tower climber.
Please consider the email from earlier today when a ham "weekend warrior" fell from 40 to 50 feet because he made a "mistake" and is now in really bad shape in the hospital.

How many $$$ is your life worth?

Please consider hiring a tower professional to do your work before you purchase all of the needed safety equipment - UNLESS you will also sign up to be professionally trained in tower climbing safety.

Plan to have 2 lanyards. Plan to replace the lanyards every other year
unless you climb a lot or fairly high often.
I change my lanyards annually.

Dont skimp .. your life depends on it.

Look for a video or webinar by K1IR Jim Idelson regarding tower safety.
