I have AWG 4 gauge stranded aluminum XHHW wires in my
open wire line going to my 90 foot vertical. I installed
it 20 years ago, and it is still in perfect like new condition.
I can highly recommend it. At the time, I paid 15 cents per foot.

BTW, the fact that it is:

Stranded
Aluminum
and Insulated

doesn't appear to be detrimental to its use as OWL,
despite various "advice" to the contrary.

Has anyone used it? It's a bit more expensive at $98/500' vs $65/500' but if it keeps that nylon from hanging off the antennas....de Dick NY1E
