I do not worry about the THHN nylon separating when used for rotator  
applications or wire antennas.

THHN jacket seems to hold up well. It's just PVC but I've found it to be
fairly UV resistant.

The clear nylon coating is only there to make the wire slippery so that
electricians can pull it easily thru conduit.

Don't worry about it coming off in antenna applications.
