[TowerTalk] G-2800 vs tailtwister bolt pattern

Correct, the TX2 has a 3” square bolt pattern, and the Yaesu has 3.3”.  Drilling a hole right next to the existing ones is going be tough, since they will overlap a bit. Make a template with graph paper and rotate it 45˚ and drill 4 new holes.
