I found this in my Alumni News concerning Press Jones; interesting history:
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Pressley W. Jones, 89, died April
10, 2018. He was an MIT graduate in
food technology and worked with food
preservation in the Army. Then he
worked on a cattle ranch before joining
Gerber in Michigan. He later transitioned
to lead the full dinners division of Sara
Lee in Chicago. After four years he
returned to Michigan, where he first
bought a restaurant in Newaygo, then
built a new restaurant in Croton. He
had to build a walk-in cooler, so Pressley
studied refrigeration—followed by
electronics so he could maintain it. This
interest led to converting CBs to ham
radios and the discovery that the ham
radio industry lacked appropriate wire,
so Pressley created (from the ground up)
the Wireman, a business that supplies
high-quality materials for amateur and
professional radio.

Pressley was the loving husband of
his late wife, Virginia. He is survived
by three children, two grandchildren,
and three great-grandchildren
