[TowerTalk] Vertical dipole other choices?

Thats the beauty of a vertical dipole. No need to try and achieve a perfect ground. My 40M ground plane vertical I had with 8 elevated radials 10 feet above the ground was a good performer for DX but the vertical dipole knocks it socks off, hihi. I am taking down the horizontal dipole since I only chase DX.

How is your ground conductivity ? Mine is very good.

On DX the vertical won hands down on every sig. On closer in, stateside stuff stuff the horizontal dipole was the best. Not suprising, the vertical dipole has a lower angle of radiation. I also checked to be sure the tower wasn't interacting with the vertical dipole to be sure it didn't screw up th pattern. I am very pleased with the vertical dipole's performance (for DX)
