[TowerTalk] Temporary 30-40ft Rohn 55G

Rohn 55G is really not appropriate for a temporary set up.  Its way too
heavy to tilt up and you don't want to be assembling it with a gin pole if
there is no concrete base.  If something is so big it needs 55G then its too
big for a temporary set up.

 

As anyone who has done a competitive Field Day knows.  Temporary towers are
tilted up all the time for a weekend activity or a couple of weeks on a
DXpedition.  But never using 55G because of its weight.
