[TowerTalk] Telescoping aluminum tubing?

DX Engineering recommends 2"-8".I have also read a minimum of two times the diameter of the largest tube.  That seems a bit small to me.Probably a lot depends on how they are joined.73,Gary K9GS

I generally use 4 inches overlap for 2 inch diameter and 2 inches for aninch and smaller.  If your sections are more than six feet in length, Iwould consider adding an inch of overlap.
