The disciplined modeling I published in NCJ several years ago predicted 
that result. Two factors -- reduced ground losses under the antenna and 
energy concentrated at a lower vertical angle because the center of 
radiation is higher. When I presented this work at an NCCC meeting, the 
sharp engineers in the audience were voicing their agreement.
