Actually, it's now te.com, but PIDG is the series at Mouser referenced 
by W9AC, and the datasheet is silent on whether the size is stranded or 
solid.

The T&B datasheet/catalog is clear - it's stranded for some, solid for 
others.

What might be useful is to look for RU or UL listed connectors - they'll 
almost certainly say what kind of conductor is ok. (e.g. if you're 
installing them into a panel board, you need to know, for sure).
