[TowerTalk] TH-7

I bought TH-7 Serial ONE in Jan, 1981; I had ordered a TH-6 and HyGain
called to say they had two TH-7s in the air, one at their test tower,
and one at an employee's home and both tested well so they would send 
me their first sale.  Judy (KA5PQD) and spent Valentines day assembling it
and it remained at 50 feet on a tilt-over E-Z Way tower until 2003 when a
new 72 foot tower, CAL-AV 2 el 40 and an early OB16-3 replaced it.  A little
later it was given to a local ham who moved to Maine, and I worked it many
times therafter.  Can't recall his call, and he's now
gone, but I think it's still in use in Maine.

There was an op in Texas who mounted 4 of these on a rotating tower. There
was an article in one of the ham magazines some years ago about it. But it
was impressive. The TH7 has 5 elements on 10mtrs which soon will be more in
vogue. But as was mentioned, these antennas cover just three bands.   - Mike
