Thanks for the clarification Jim - you are correct. Those 105's you have must be pretty stout 😉

<I think ASTM F1554 replaced the previous anchor bolt standard since
~1994. <F1554 standard tensile strength ratings are 36, 55, and 105 ksi.

## It's actually YIELD strength, not tensile strength.
I used 105 ksi (red on top) on my HDX-689 12 x anchor bolts. I ordered em from Portland Bolt. I had em custom made, 60" long (instead of 36"), with 6" of thread on each end of each rod. 9" square plates used on the bottom of each group of 4 x anchor rods..which increases pull out capacity through the roof.

## The 55 + 105 ksi anchor rods don't cost much more than the 36 ksi rods. I had em made longer since it seemed a bit silly to have a 9' deep hole, filled with 35 mpa concrete (5075 psi)..and another 5" of concrete above the lawn...... then only use 36" long rods. But that also required using more horizontal braces, since UST wants a brace every 6", till you get to the bottom of the anchor rods, then 1' after that.
