[TowerTalk] Pipe for guy anchor

I used a schedule 80/4" ID steel pipe for a similar height of tower. Not enough room to back-guy it, but it has held up well for at least five years with no sign of any deflection. It was buried 3.5' D & encased in concrete. K7LXC recommends a piece of steel I beam, not pipe.

If it was me, I would put in a screw in earth anchor and connect a "guy wire" to the top of the pipe.
Could be at a steep angle.
Without knowing your situation, I can't tell if this is feasible. However, this allows you to use just a 2" water pipe since there is no force bending it PLUS you can skimp on the concrete since there is no overturning force on it.
