 I second that. Not only is the load on each guy lower (I don't remember how much) but the angle of the guy anchor to the tower is not so critical as it is for three guywires.

I don't think having four guys has anything to do with wire size.
Yes, at some angles wire load is lower with four BUT max load occurs when the wind is aligned with one wire.
