Well before K7NV became a SK, DX Engineering entered into an agreement with Kurt to build the K7NV clamp.

Only a different mast clamp will help. The M2 clamp just does not have 
enough contact area for demanding applications.
There might be a few K7NV mast clamps still available out there.
Maybe a longer wrench? :-)
