I'd been meaning to follow up on this.  I was digging around the shop 
looking for the meter I used to use to measure this (haven't seen it 
since the mid-90's, got side tracked by all the junk I have), and also 
spoke quite a bit with a gal in the industry since the 80's.

More later when I can sit down and put all my notes together.
