[TowerTalk] MA-550 Installation

When I moved my US Tower 40' crank up from my last house to my current residence, I needed a new wet-stamped set of plans for the base from a PE in order to get a building permit. Rather than the square base specified by US Tower, he designed a cylindrical base of dimensions that met mechanical requirements, passed county approval and has worked fine for 9 years now.. You might consider a professional design if you are going to substitute from manufacturer's specs. A cylinder is easier to excavate with an augur compared to digging a deep square hole.
