[TowerTalk] USB lighting protector

Jorge,

I chose to use an optical isolator rather than a lightning arrestor. 
Something like this:

All of my USB devices connect to a powered USB hub, and the hub connects 
to the computer through the isolator.

I have also bonded to ground all of the USB connected devices that have 
a metal chassis, including the radio and computer.

So far so good. YMMV.
