I wrote a program to analyze stratified ground. Normally you have no
idea what's deep below, but the program also works for local strata like
a concrete house foundation, an asphalt driveway, or snow on the ground.
The most interesting case I looked at was for desert soil where a water
table 200 feet down increased surface conductivity at 3.7 MHz by a
factor of ten!

Your antivirus software may inhibit program download. Send the file URL
(http://ham-radio.com/k6sti/eqv.zip) to VirusTotal
(https://www.virustotal.com). It will scan the file with dozens of
antivirus programs. Once you're satisfied it's safe, disable your
antivirus software, download the file, and then reenable it. Unzip
eqv.zip and exclude eqv.exe from virus scrutiny (for Windows Defender:
