All good points from you, Brian, and others. I've done some simple Yagi
designs using YW, optimizing for forward gain over the needed bandwidth,
because that's what I need on the lower bands, and they're relatively
small, because that's all I can turn between the trees in my dense
redwood forest.

As to the particular 6M antennas being discussed: when I moved here 20
years ago, my QTH was pretty quiet. Now it's not, and I have strong
sources in three important directions -- Asia, Europe, and South
America. So my limiting factor is more often HEARING, rather than being
heard. Further, on 6M, my primary interest is weak signal work, which is
all concentrated within a little over 200 kHz.
