[TowerTalk] mast guying help Please!

Hello Gents,

I'm still helping a friend with an antenna project and have some guying questions.
How do I calculate how high up the mast should one set of guy wires be mounted?
The total mast height is about 39 feet tall and supported 16 feet off the ground. Please see the attached drawing (I hope it came through). The mast is 1 1/2 OD, 1/8" wall.
Also what diameter and type of guy wire should we use?

I've use 3/16 EHS on my 70 ft towers but for this it seems over kill?
This will be in the mountains north of Boise in heavy forest, so many trees will be deflecting/reducing any wind.
