Hi Wayne.

Most people seem to think TR runs faster than TRP. Also, if you have run
the DOS program MEMMAKER, you should have enough memory in your lower 640K
to run TR without any problems.

The names file that George supplies is in ASCII format. You need to use
the name editor in POST to load it into the NAMES.CMQ file. You
can't just rename the file. The name editor can be found under the utility
menu in POST.

The DVP funtion of pronouncing callsigns as you have typed them into the
call window is not support with TR. All other functions (calling CQ,
saying exchanges that are alwasy the same, saying 73 and back-copy) are
supported.

The SAY HI ENABLE = TRUE command is only necessary if you are going to
call people by name on CW automatically. The name database is loaded
in unless you put POSSIBLE CALLS = FALSE in your logcfg file. You can
see a stations name by typing their call in the call window and
pressing the space bar or RETURN.

Hope this helps you get off the ground Wayne.
