It seems Dayton is the big focus and it feels like another year has
been finished.
I just made up the flyer George and I will be handing out to people as
they come by to check out the program. It lists the things that were
done during the last year. The list is a little shorter than the
previous year's list, but still pretty long. I think doing the SS
log checking was the most significant reason for this.
During the past couple of weeks, I have tried to implement most of
the features people have been asking me for. However, I still have
about 100 messages from you asking for things that haven't been
implemented yet. Most of these are "hard" things to do, or I would
have done them already. As I have time, I will try to get to as many
of them as I can during the next year.
My plan after Dayton is to spend some quality time with POST - which
hasn't received much attention recently. I think I said this last
year as well.
One big change since last year has been the manual. As you know,
Doc, N7DR has taken over the manual and the comments have been
pretty positive. It has been a big load off of my mind, and will
allow me to focus on the stuff I am good at - instead of trying to
be a technical writer.
I had the pleasure of visiting with Tack, JE1CKA, during my recent
trip to Japan. We were able to make some improvements to the ALL
JA contest - which is kid of like the ARRL Field Day and Sweepstakes
combined into one contest.
If you are coming to Dayton - please drop by booth #444 and say
hello. We can also process your yearly $15 update dues, or you
can give us $100 for a lifetime of updates. We can take plastic.
There will also be a few of the K7RAT tee shirts available. The
proceeds from these help sponsor the Kid's day contest.
See you on the air. If you are on six meters - listen for the
K7RAT club call.
