[TRLog] Almost got it

I have checked  all the wiring based on the diagrams in the manual but I
get lost at the point on what goes to the stereo plug that plugs into
the key jack on my FT 990. I have it wired up like this : pin 18 to the
ground side of the stereo jack and  the center pin of the stereo jack to
the diode in the 25 pin interface wired like on page 146  Ver 6.48 on
the TR manual According to the manual pin 18 goes to the ground for the
CW paddle connect to radio. The stereo plug has two wires going to it
one comes form the pin 18 to the ground of the stereo plug  for the CW
key  and the second going from the center pin  to the diode. I Think my
problem is here but I am having a brain cramp and I am getting flustered
any help would be appreciated
