You *must* tell TR your grid. Use MY GRID=IO81  ( say) in your 
locfg.dat file.

Then in DOS 

REN LOG.DAT LOG.ORG
COPY LOG.ORG DUMMY.DAT
TR READ DUMMY.DAT


The resultant log.dat file will reflect the distance points. I 
*know* I had to do it!
