I went through the commands that TR sends to the radio and have the =
following observations for my IC756 and IC756Pro. Both do pretty much =
the same thing except the 756 will switch to the narrow filter while the =
'Pro switches to Filter 2 (out of three filter options)

ALT M - changing modes
The radio will change modes and switch the filter setting if it is not =
already there.

ALT B and ALT V - changing bands
The radio will changes filter setting first, then change the band.

Typing in a new frequency in the call window.
The radio will change filter settings then changes the frequency.

ALT N - Inputing a new TX frequency (split operation)
The radio changes to split mode with the sub VFO as the TX frequency, =
but the main VFO remains as the "primary" frequency.
The main VFO filter setting changes.
The main VFO frequncy changes to the frequency typed in the computer.

If one pushes and holds for 2 seconds the split mode button, the radio =
will go to split mode and make the sub VFO as the primary VFO. Then, if =
the ALT N command is used, the sub VFO changes filter settings and then =
changes frequency to the one typed into the computer.

I use a W1GEE interface for both radios. Operation at 1200 or 4800 baud =
does not make a difference, at least with these commands. The update =
rate between the radio and computer seems a bit slow at times although =
it does not seem to hinder operation. The display lags a bit.

Occaisionally, the computer will "read" a frequency way different from =
the the radio is on (the screen will flash to "nonSSB" setting then =
back) even though the radio has not been moved. Since it has not caused =
problems, I have forgotten the circumstances when it happens although it =
could be from stray RF.

The following is my most recent config file from the CQWW SSB. I have a =
Top Ten Devices DXdouble control box for SO2R.
