Hi Bert,
You can get the frequency into your TRLog LOG.DAT file by choosing the
LOGCFG option LOG FREQUENCY ENABLE = TRUE. The frequency appears in the form
".029" (for 14.029, 21.029, etc.) or ".529" (for 3.529), in the column where
the serial number is normally recorded. Unfortunately for your NAQP log, you
have to do this before the contest, not after.
Getting the frequency info into your Cabrillo file is more complex. For NAQP
you can produce your Cabrillo file directly from the original log file
containing frequencies, since there are no serial numbers in the exchange.
[As an aside, for a contest in which the serial number is part of the sent
exchange, you must get rid of the frequency info, or your Cabrillo file will
be invalid. To do this, run POST /L /C after the contest. The third question
it prompts you is "Renumber QSO numbers?", to which you answer Y to get a
second copy of the log with serial numbers instead of frequencies in file
LALLBOTH.DAT (answer N to all of the other questions in POST). This serial
numbered version of the log is the one you produce a Cabrillo file from for
those contests.] However, as you have noted, the Cabrillo file produced by
POST does not contain the specific frequency information, regardless of
whether it was in the original log file or not.
To address this, I have written a little DOS program called CBRFRFIX which
reads in the Cabrillo file and the corresponding LOG.DAT file containing
frequencies and produces a new Cabrillo file containing the frequency info.
It's at http://www.storm.ca/~ve3iay/download.html . Until Tree takes up your
suggestion for a "wish list" item, this should do the trick. Either Cabrillo
file should be acceptable for submission, as the detailed frequency
information is not part of the scoring process.
Thanks for the NAQP QSOs!
