If you have one available pci slot, you can get a 4-serial, one parallel
port pci card from Byterunner or SIIG. These cards use only one irq and
work with dos.

Then, take the DOS disc drive out of your old computer, and stick it onto
the new computer's primary IDE cable as the master disc. Make the other
big disc the slave. Select which disk drive to use during bootup by going
to BIOS and selecting the boot order:
drive 0 (master) for dos,
or drive 1 (slave) for Windows.

It's down & dirty, but it works.
