[Trlog] Sluggish Paddle CW

Just getting the new computer set up for Sprint - first time I have tried this 
computer with TRLog.

The paddle-sent CW seems sluggish - like there is a slight delay between 
pressing the paddle and CW being output. Function-key CW seems fine.

Running a 3.1 GHz box
Free DOS
smartdrv c+
himem.exe
emm386.exe
buffers=20
files=40

Never had this problem with the 25 MHz 486 !

Suggestions ?
