You can either tell TR that you have a Kenwood radio - or K2.  At some point, I 
plan to add some features that will require a K3 - like sending CW from commands
over the serial port for example.  When that happens, you will tell TR that you
have a K3.

As a K2 - it works just fine - been using it for > 6 months.  The shift key RIT
keys even work.
